Anita Kouassigan, Founder, Event Director & Moderator

Anita is a business catalyst and consultant between London and Lagos. A serial entrepreneur and networker, Anita brings extensive expertise in media, inclusion programming, human capital investment, and corporate social responsibility. She is the Founder of Investing In Women, a global social impact organisation centred around connecting, empowering, and amplifying women - via the creation of content, her engagements as a speaker, and the hosting of live media events. In addition to her consulting career, Anita is a columnist for Guardian Woman and a sponsorship and advertising broker for The Financial Times. Most of her publishing & media experience is gained from having entered into licensing arrangements with global publishing brands such as Time Out International. She also self-published a festival guide for CPH: Africa, the first ever Nollywood Film Festival at the Danish Film Institute: Cinemateket with whom she collaborated with by offering access to film industry leaders. Anita holds a BSc degree in Politics (University of Bristol), and a Post-Graduate Degree in Law and the Legal Practice Course (College of Law, London). Anita also sits on the board of Trustees of the Aplori Foundation (AP Leventis Ornithological Research Institute).

Maje Ayida (Health & Wellness)

Maje Ayida is a Nigerian Wellness Coach and CEO of the award-winning Health & Fitness Brand, Eden Lifestyle. The brand's Corporate Wellness program services various industries in Nigeria, from Banking to Oil and Gas. Maje spent 10 years in banking in the UK, having gone through the full education system there. He is a columnist for a national newspaper and makes numerous television and radio appearances, educating and motivating Nigerians on healthy living. He is an accomplished international speaker, influencer and writer, and sits on the committee of The Spa And Wellness Association of Africa. Maje is the founder and owner of a popular fitness facility in Lagos called The HIIT Squad, the team responsible for the fitness event series "HIIT Hangout".

Olatowun Candide-Johnson (Law)

Olatowun holds an LLB (Hons); BL; and an MBA and is a lawyer with over thirty years’ experience in Corporate and Commercial Law and in Business Development and the Governance of multinational corporations. During the course of her career, she worked in the Shipping and Oil & Gas industries. Whilst working with the Total Group, she worked in different divisions including three years at the New Business Division in the Paris HQ. Before taking early retirement, she held the roles of General Counsel, Executive General Manager, Management Services Division (incorporating Legal, Audit, Insurance and Anti-Corruption Compliance) and Chief Compliance Officer for the Total Upstream Companies in Nigeria. In 2016, she obtained a Global Executive MBA awarded by LSE, NYU Stern and HEC (Paris), known as the TRIUM Global Executive MBA. After so many years in the corporate world, she decided that it was time for her to fulfill her passion which is to open an exclusive space in a secure and serene part of Lagos to help bridge the business connections gap currently experienced by Women in Nigeria. This birthed GAIA (‘Mother Earth’), a Women-only business and social hub in Victoria Island, which has at its core, the objective of encouraging women to do more business together.

Dr. Ndidi Nnoli-Edozien (Social Impact)​

Ndidi serves as the first Group Chief, Sustainability & Governance at Dangote Industries Limited. Prior to which she taught Ethics, Social Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability at the Lagos Business School. A Synergist and Angel Investor passionate about sustainable African enterprise, she founded Rising Tide Africa in 2016 and Growing Businesses Foundation (GBF) in 1999. In between, she served as CEO/Founder of Strategy & Execution Limited – a public sector strategy consulting firm; and Growing Businesses Capital, which focuses on early-stage investments. Since 2012, she has served as a Nominee Director of the IFC/World Bank on the Board of ABN Microfinance Bank. She also serves on the Boards of Interswitch Financial Inclusion, Jim Ovia Foundation, ANAP Foundation and the Private Sector Advisory Group on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her status as a social entrepreneur was recognized by the Bertelsmann AG, Germany in 2003 to whom she remains affiliated as a ‘Reinhard Mohn Fellow’ and ‘Transformation Thinker’. As an Angel Investor, she is a member of the Lagos Angels Network and Rising Tide Africa, a global network of women business angels focused on increasing women’s participation in early-stage investments as an asset class in Africa.

Eva Baroni (Politics)

Eva is the founder and CEO of Atalanta, a social enterprise dedicated to advancing women's leadership worldwide and accelerating programmes that tackle the root causes of gender inequality. She has more than 15 years experience as a campaign and communications strategist, serving as an advisor to heads of state, ministers, and private sector leaders in the US, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. She has worked on several projects and campaigns in Nigeria since 2011. Eva's work on women's political representation has been covered in a number of outlets including The Times, The Guardian, GQ, Politico, Campaigns & Elections, Reuters, Thomson Reuters Foundation News, Channel 4, CNBC Africa, and The Hill. She is featured as an expert in Women's Media Center's SheSource database, and she regularly speaks at conferences, workshops, and events on topics including politics, campaigning, and gender equality.

Tundun Abiola

Tundun is a Lawyer and Entrepreneur with years of experience in the Maritime Industry. She has occupied senior roles in both the Executive and Legislative arms of government at state and national levels. She is currently also a co-presenter of The Morning Show on Arise TV.

Jekein Lato-Unah (Art & Design)

Jekein is a multidisciplinary artist and final year Law Student at The University of Lagos. Her certificate in Painting and Illustrative Arts was received from the Arts Basis Institute, Dubai. Shortly after, she attended a part-time pottery programme in Yabatech, Lagos. Her pieces reflect social, political and cultural issues in a thought-provoking manner to spark discussions as she expresses different basic human conditions within the borders of Nigeria as she is telling Nigerian stories from Nigerian lenses. Jekein is the first woman to successfully master the Araism technique, and has created over two hundred pieces using the technique. She studied under Jelili Atiku, a performance art master, at The Goethe Institut for a performance art atelier in November 2016. Subsequently, Jekein was the Art Director and participant at a performance art exhibition at the ArtHouse Foundation Residency in Lagos, Nigeria. She was an exhibiting artist in the Temple Management Company's first art exhibition held at the Omenka Gallery, as well as an exhibiting artist at Lola Shoneyin’s all-female exhibition titled 'The Female Form' held at the Cultural Centre in Abeokuta, Nigeria. 

Binta Max-Gbinije (Finance)

Binta was until a few weeks ago, the pioneer Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Trustees Limited, a position she held for almost 8 years. She has over 26 years work experience most of which has been in banking and she holds a first Degree in English Language, a Masters in International Law and Diplomacy, an MBA in Management, is a HCIB of the Chartered Institute of Bankers as well as an Associate of the Women in Management, Business & Public Service (WIMBIZ). She is also a Fellow of the Association of Investment Advisers & Portfolio Managers (IAPM). Binta was at various times, Head of Expert banking In Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, Head of Private Banking in Stanbic Bank Nigeria, Pioneer Head of Wealth Management in FBN Capital Limited, and Head of Treasury Marketing in then MBC International Bank. She has received executive training from some leading Business Schools including the Harvard Business School, INSEAD, Wharton, Kellogg’s Business School and the Yale School of Management in her quest to continually hone and sharpen her skills. Binta is also an active member or in the leadership of different professional associations and community –oriented organizations, which are passionate about the empowerment of women and the girl-child while she also sits on the board of some Non-Governmental organizations. 

Thelma Osuhor (Power & Energy)

Thelma is a Power & Energy enthusiast who is currently Senior Sales Leader for Power Services at The General Electric Company.  Within GE she has held several leadership roles in Sales, Commercial and Project Development, working on multi-million dollar deals across Africa and The Middle East. Prior to this, she spent time in public sector consultancy serving as Technical Advisor to the Nigerian Government on Power Sector Policy and initiatives supporting government ministries and parastatals. She served as an advisor to the Nigerian Minister of Power, originating and driving several initiatives for stakeholder management, investor and donor relations under the employ of the Nigerian Infrastructure Advisory Facility under the UK Development Agency. Thelma has a background in Electrical Engineering with a degree in Engineering and Business Management. She has several certifications on Leadership and Project Management across various institutions including the University of Warwick and Oxford University in the UK. Thelma is passionate about promoting women and she serves as co-lead of Women-in-Commercial for the GE Women’s Network. She is also an associate member of WIMBIZ and supports several Non-Governmental Organisations. She is a champion for STEM education and serves as a Board Advisor to Afro-Tech Girls, an initiative promoting Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) priorities through mentoring, creativity and innovation, teamwork and leadership for young girls.

Chiekezie Dozie (Technology)

Chiekezi is an IT and Technology professional with a career spanning over 20 years in Nigeria and the UK. He is an accomplished photographer and still undertakes private commissions. Before becoming an Entrepreneur, Technophile and Webpreneur, he graduated with a Law Degree and proceeded to the Inns of Court School of Law to study and prepare for his legal professional exams. Having completed the requirements and knowing a legal practice was not for him, he joined the London offices of Siemens Business Services as a Contracts Manager where he worked for 5 years. With the advent of Mobile Communications in Nigeria, Chiekezi returned to Nigeria where he took part in the GSM revolution with Kunoch Communications. This was later followed by stints in NETCOM Africa Ltd as Business Development and Strategy Manager; Smile Communications as Corporate Sales Director; and finally Internet Solutions as Sales Director. Chiekezi is also a professional photographer, an active blogger, social media commentator and a Digital Media Consultant with Persnickety Media.
